I'm not really sure who played this worse. If I had to pick, I would go with the caller, because at least the original bettor got his chips into the pot first and put the decision on the other player... but for crying out loud, he raised 12x the big blind and all he had were pocket threes. Maybe instead I would say it was a draw in the stupidity department

Here's the funny thing - I don't think LukaD33 had any idea whatsoever that I (and I assume the other player, JP'sJack) wasn't commenting on the lucky draws. I was commenting on how stupidly they both played.
He raised 5x the BB to make it 6x the BB to play Not 12x I always try to play baby pairs for cheap. These days I'll fold to any raise bigger than 1BB automatically. Raising was asking for trouble.
SB is thinking, hmmm I have big stack and probably the best hand, $400 is sitting out there, against short stack in the big blind on the bubble - make aggressive play and if he has junk or trying to get into the money he will fold, if he calls and has overs I'm a favorite and am getting good odds - putting in $1100 to win $2500. If I win I am chip leader and even if I lose I've still got a decent stack and still in 2nd place.
BB is thinking, hmmmm I am short stacked, blinds are getting too big, aggressive big stack in SB probably trying to steal or has big overs, unless he has a pair I am favorite. And there is little chance to get into the money unless I double up like now since I am puny stack up against 2 big stacks and johnnymac, who had me outchipped and can back into the money if I just sit here like a ninny and get blinded off. $1500 sitting out there and I have only have $1000 left with each round costing me $400.... What better spot can I hope to wait for?
