I stopped by Jackie's after work tonight for 4 hours. The NL game hadn't started, so I started out at the Limit Round of Each game. It was Lousiana limits of $5-$10 where you can make the river $20. I didn't win a single hand for 1.25 hours, but when I did, boy did I. I took in a $250 scooper when I made the nut straight on the river (I also had a draw to the 2nd nut flush). I didn't win again until 45 minutes later when I scooped again, this time with a boat.
The NL HE game started up after 2.5 hours. In 1.5 hours, I got AA, AA, KK, AKs, AK, JJ, TT. I pulled in $250 profit. And no, I didn't raise with AK or AKs and I missed the flop everytime. I have probably saved myself close to $100 so far with my new strategy. Me likey the new strategy.
I have to say that 2006 is starting out well for me on all fronts.
That sounds like my night two weeks ago. I played $6-$6 NL at Northside and got pocket aces 7 times, and I won all 7 of them. I left with a $2,210 profit.
On my way home I stopped at Zebra and played $2-$5 PL. I got pocket aces 3 more times, but I lost 2 of them. However, I continued to win, and booked a $750 profit.
