I think I played this correctly. Let me know if you would have played it differently. The best move I made was making that two of spades come on the river: pure skill. jryer1 Posted Small Blind $0.50 swamptiger1 Posted Big Blind $1.00 Dealing Cards

Sorry for the deletions, I screwed up...
Yes, I think you minimized your risk as much as needed. Some (I) might have raised the turn to represent a bigger pair of spades..which may have led to a re-raise and forced a fold (depending on the stack sizes)
The amount to raise on the river soley depends on your read on your opponent. What did he have?
Too bad that the paired board didn't work out to be a full house (assumption). It would have been nice to see him come back over with 6's full, or similar. Did you work that dream scenario into your $6.50 decision?

You MIGHT have played the turn better. You were not heads up on the turn. It's likely that someone, or several someones, had a single higher spade. By calling you gave them the proper odds to draw out on you. With seven spades -assuming someone calls with a higher spade-, plus ten more outs from the board pairing, you realy don't want to give a cheap river card.
