Good to be back in the USA and watching college football. A few observations:

• We all (self included) were a bit too quick to say that the Big XII sucks. Right now, the conference has 3 of the top five teams (top 4 teams if you recognized Oregon's loss). It is highly unlikely that a Big XII team will miss the BCS Championship game. Evidently, the conference is better than we gave it credit for
• Jim Tressel looks pretty cool in the old school letterman jacket.
• I feel sorry for Oregon. I was unable to watch the game, but evidently Dennis Dixon re-aggrevated the knee, missed the game, and thus Arizona was able to beat them. I heard that Oregon's high-powered offense became anemic without Dixon. I wonder if UT would have won it all if VY got injured. Of course, that is a silly question because injuries are for mortals.
• Although my preseason predictions looked suspect early in the season, they could still come around. WVU could win it all. Tebow should go to NYC. We will see.
