Poker

It isn't exactly Super System, but if you have the time, these videos aren't too bad. His "small ball" approach is largely how I play.

I am definitely hosting poker while CCM and BudaKleck are in town over Xmas. Let me know what dates work for you.

I am also playing O/8 at Johnny's a week from Thursday, too. I hope to see you there.

College Football

The trip to College Station was a disaster. When Quan Cosby scored a touchdown in the third quarter, I hooked my Horns and dislocated my shoulder. I was taken out of Kyle Field in an ambulance. Really. I have done this 15 times, only twice needing to go to the hospital. The doc told me that if I had gigged 'em, I probably would not have gotten hurt. Anyway, I have my arm in a splint for a week. That makes three injurues in as many weeks. It looks like I will be out of the 1/2 marathon now, too. Crap this sucks.

Missou looked awesome on Saturday. This will be the best Big XII Championship matchup that I can recall, as OU obviously still can light it up with Bradford at less than 100% (only 150 yds in a blowout over OSU.) Should be a treat...

Pools

I incorrectly wrote last week that I was in first or second in 4 pools - actually it was 3 pools (in fifth in another, but I was counting my equity stake in my friend who is in second).

OSU's loss knocked me off the perch in Watt's pool, but I am in first and second in the two remaining pools. Barring something crazy, I might win more money on college football than in poker in 2007 - a first!

I have been told that I am the 2nd luckiest dude on the planet, but right now with a cut cornea, an arm in a splint, a purple toe, a UT team with a 2-game losing streak to a coach that couldn't beat anyone, an entry fee to a marathon that will go to waste and a broken sofa in my den, I really don't feel lucky right now.
