Last Sunday, we had a League Night. Except for two hands (won one, lost the other), pretty much just folded all night. I ended up net down about $14. It was a fairly boring night for me, but I'll take that over the excitement from our previous game when I had the second best hand what seemed like every 5 minutes. Most importantly, my lead in league points is insurmountable, so I have locked up the regular season crown. This translates into a larger chip stack in the Season Finale Tournament. It is nice having a commanding chip lead in the tournament before I even sit down.
With work winding down, I started looking at that sweet spot of time (about 2 weeks in total) in between surgery recovery and birth of baby boy. ARH and I decided to go to Vegas. We both got Rapid Rewards flights (total cost = $10) and I used some of my Harrah's Total Rewards to get us two nights hotel for <$50 per man per night. Saturday night is free, as we will pull an all-nighter before catching an early Sunday flight. If anybody else is free April 17-20, feel free to tag along.
If anybody has any poker suggestions, let me know. I have been surfing the net, and it seems that some of the daily/weekly tournaments have moved around. Any advice on where to play is appreciated. In my short life, I have played at: Bellagio (pre-remodel), Aladdin, MGM, Wynn, Mandalay Bay, Golden Nugget, Harrah's, Bally's and Rio. Does Hooters have poker?
I think I am going to be in Houston for an engagement party the weekend that the NCAA Regionals is in town. I may have to check that out. UT has a good shot at playing in that Regional. Maybe they will play the winner of tonight's Tennesse-Memphis game in the Regional Final. That would seem likely if we get a 2 seed, which is what we would get if we only drop one game between now and the end of the Big XII tournament. Btw, bet on Tennessee tonight. That is my very non-expert opinion.
In case anybody was wondering, the eight digits of pi beginning from 242,422 places after the decimal point are 42424242.
